Another hero loses his life trying to save his cat from a fire

Oswaldo Cárdenas Isaza, 50 years old, lost his life last Friday, February 20, on International Cat Day , after a fire broke out in his home at 2:30 in the morning in the Victoria neighborhood of Pereira – Colombia. He was known as “Majo” and had lived in that house for 2 years.

His motorcycle was the cause of the raging fire, it was stored inside the house as usual and it presented electrical faults, producing a short circuit that triggered the fire. The heat of the flames made Oswaldo get up from his bed and when he could not extinguish the fire, he took his wife out of the house, putting him safely on the street.

While the fire consumed his home, Oswaldo decides to enter again in order to save his cat , which was still inside, but could no longer leave and was trapped. His very worried wife screamed for help to get out but when the firefighters arrived to extinguish the fire it was too late for this man, who was lying on the floor of the bathroom of his house.

This is one more sample of the unconditional love that some people like this hero feel towards animals, we still do not know if the cat also died. But with this article we want to exalt the evident love that this person felt for his most faithful friend and take the opportunity to convey our condolences to the family of this great man.
