Teddy has acted like a true hero, this dog saved the life of a child with down syndrome who had been trapped inside a tumble dryer in Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland. The dog desperately warned her humans what was happening and fortunately the little one is now alive.
Five-year-old Riley Gedge has burns on his arms and head, but they are not serious.
Aaron Duffy, Riley’s father stated:
“My wife was busy upstairs at the time, the dog ran upstairs and was basically crazy so she knew something was wrong.”
“When she came downstairs she saw our oldest son watching TV and asked him ‘where’s Riley?’ The bitch was barking like crazy and running back and forth from the dryer. ”
“You could hear bumps, bumps and you could see your iPad going round and round. We suspect he was inside for a couple of minutes. She pulled Riley out and started pouring cold water on him. I got home about 40 seconds later, after undressing him, I took him into the shower to cover him with cold water. Later, I dialed 999. I can’t stop thinking about what might have happened if the dog hadn’t been there. “

Little Riley was taken to Ulster Hospital in Dundonald. You are expected to have a CT scan.
“We can read that these things happen, but this happened in our house and I just want other parents to take it into account. We used to have a big dryer because there are six of us in the house and we have a lot of clothes. It’s not an old model or anything, but just by turning the dial and closing the door, it starts working. “
Aaron claims that in two months this has been the second time Teddy has acted so heroically.
“The dog alerted us that an iPhone charger was on fire. She is a brilliant bitch, she is incredible.
