A dog was going to be euthanized along with her sisters for being a pit bull. They were found in a forest and no one knows exactly how they got there, there was no trace of their mother and it was curious that they survived in total abandonment with so few weeks of life. 

There were three puppies, one was named Sunshine and it caused more curiosity to see that it was probably born without a part of its front leg.

Officers from  Henry County Animal Care and Control  in Georgia, United States, were the ones who found the puppies and took them immediately to the shelter, but not to care for them, but to euthanize them in three days If no one came to their rescue, that’s what they do when they find an abandoned pit bull dog.

Jason Flatt, a member of the Friends to the Forlorn Pitbull Rescue animal rescue organization  , said:

“Basically, if a pit bull is found like a stray dog, they take it to the shelter for three days. And after that comes euthanasia.

Friends to the Forlorn Pitbull Rescue  helps pit bull dogs that are in complex situations, so when rescuers found out what was happening, they did not hesitate to go in search of Sunshine and her sisters (Krissy and Nugget).

After being rescued, these three sisters were delivered to a foster home thanks to a statement by Jason Flatt.

Sunshine, also known as Sunny, she has a great peculiarity, apparently she was born without a part of her front leg, but this does not prevent her from constantly striving to get to walk with her and show her sympathy.

‘We don’t know if it is a birth defect. We don’t know if it was cut. It’s hard to say.

Flatt took the beautiful Sunny to a vet and the vet immediately thought that the best thing for her would be to start with a prosthetic leg and they fitted her with a flexible splint. Sunny eagerly went out for a walk and swiftly joined her.

“She did amazing.”

Sunny will have to change prostheses four times while finishing her growth process.

“Only one prosthesis cannot be established because it is still growing. Basically every two months, they are going to put a new prosthesis back on it. ‘

If the use of the prosthesis had not been used from now on, Sunny would probably have muscle atrophy in the future due to the disuse of her muscle.

This beautiful puppy needs financial help to evolve with her process, and for this reason, the organization is looking through various methods to cover the prostheses she needs in the course of a year.
