Man makes this puppy a very special outfit to help him get adopted
A Minnesota man decides to put his knitting skills to use and makes a special outfit for a rescued puppy.
Usually in Minnesota, USA, the weather is too cold in the month of November. Although people are locked up due to the pandemic, winter is felt, and it causes people to find some kind of hobby.
Nick Greatens and his partner, had been locked up for a long time, so they decided to try two activities to pass the winter time and quarantine, so the couple voluntarily signed up to take care of rescue dogs and wanted to learn how to knit, but they never thought that these two activities would go hand in hand.
In the middle of a breeding process, the man made a knitted outfit for one of the foster dogs to help him find a family.

Nick and his partner began their parenting process with a couple of older Chihuahuas who were linked to the Ruff Start Rescue animal rescue center . The Chihuahuas, named Agnarr and Yelena, were rescued because they lived in a hoarding situation, so they did not trust people.
Nick told The Dodo :
“At first, they were extremely shy and we could hardly touch them, but after a couple of days they opened. Now they always want hugs.
Agnarr proved to be very anxious, but as the days passed, he and his Yelena began to trust their caretakers more. Both puppies began to get closer to their humans, but Nick and Agnarr, were forming a very special relationship and shared time together.
The man was aware that the couple of dogs they had taken in would have a series of problems to be adopted, and they knew they had to help them.
Chihuahuas were not only two older dogs, but they also had to be adopted together, since they are inseparable.
Nick commented:
They are emotionally dependent. They spend most of the day cuddling and napping on the couch.
Yelena is characterized by being a quiet dog that only wants to sleep, but Agnarr is a curmudgeon who defends his territory despite his size. Agnarr only weighs 7 pounds and because of his age he barely has a good tooth, so it’s not that scary to face the grumpy old man.
Nick improved his bond with dogs, especially Agnarr, and his crocheting skills were honed every day.
When he had a business meeting, Nick always practiced his crocheting in order to keep his hands busy and his mind clear. Although his weaving skills were improving, Nick was not yet ready to take on a large project or take on his craft.
He thought that he still did not have enough patience to make a garment for a human, so an idea occurred to him, and he decided to take the first step by knitting a pair of small sweaters for his two rescued Chihuahuas, and thus protect them from the cold. .
In addition to protecting them from the cold, the man hoped these outfits would serve to attract the attention of potential adoptive families and find a home. Agnarr noticed how elegant he looked in his new sweater and was apparently very happy because he felt very comfortable, except with the hat.
After having had a difficult life, the pair of Chihuahuas became the best dressed dogs in the neighborhood and they showed it with pride.
After spending several months searching for the right family, Agnarr and Yelena were finally adopted together. Now, they both meet their loving family promising to continue to set the fashion trends in the city.
