A passerby took some photos of a moving scene where police officers from Florida, United States, rescued two injured pit bulls that appeared to have been abandoned and left to their fate passing dangers on the street.
The dogs were abandoned and very scared in the middle of a street in Orlando when Orange County Sheriff’s deputies found them and one of them was shedding a lot of blood.
The man who witnessed the emotional moment took these sweet photos of one of the dogs that was comforted by the officer.
Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Florida posted on their Facebook page :
“Our officers serve and protect the most vulnerable in our society, and often that includes animals.”
Officers care for two injured pit bulls as help arrives
It was early in the morning, when two squads of 10 agents from Sector 4 came across two sweet and caring pit bulls, one of them was injured and both were terribly scared.
“A citizen sends us photos of Agent Boggs and Agent Reed comforting fearful dogs.”
Writes Adam:
“The officers stayed with the dogs until Animal Control arrived and even put gauze on the injured dog’s leg to stop the heavy bleeding.”
The dogs are now at Orange County Animal Services where they feel more comfortable and are cared for for their injuries.
Members of the shelter staff named the dogs Justice and Liberty. They are much better than they were when they were alone in the middle of the road. As soon as they were rescued they stopped being afraid, and had only love to give to the shelter staff.
They are sweet, playful dogs that love people, we hope that soon this pair of furry friends can find forever homes.
