This little boy couldn’t have survived even one more month on his own, but thanks to a kind-hearted person he is now happy.
When Canadian traveler Meagan Penman discovered this poor dog dragging its paralyzed legs down a beach in Thailand, she knew she had to help, no matter the cost. Thus began the beautiful and hopeful story of the puppy Leo the paraplegic, a stray dog who was brought to Canada and placed there in a new loving home.
It is estimated that this little boy could not have survived even one more month on his own. When he couldn’t find a rescue association in Thailand to help him, Penman knew he had to take him home.
“I found this little guy on a beach in Thailand dragging his paralyzed body around. I couldn’t find any rescue association in Thailand to move him from there, so I decided to bring him back to Canada. “
Here Leo is waiting for treatment at a Thai vet’s office. Leo has a broken spine and will sadly never walk again.
Leo will never walk again
“Two months later and ready to go!”
Here you are in your new temporary home!
Due to vet expenses, Meagan needed to find a new permanent home for Leo.
With those lovely puppy dog eyes, it didn’t take long.
Leo also needed operations for various problems with his urinary tract.
This little one will have to wear diapers like these until his urinary problems are fixed.
Jamie, pictured with Leo, agreed to become his foster mother!
“Leo is finally able to walk again with the help of a wheelchair. He loves it!”
